War On Lawns

The War on Lawns campaign sheds light on the environmental harm caused by traditional lawns, which demand excessive water, fertilizers, and pesticides, leading to runoff, soil degradation, and a loss of biodiversity. In contrast, native plant landscapes offer a more sustainable alternative, requiring less water and maintenance while promoting ecosystem health. The project's goal is to raise awareness, encourage action through creative events, and spark a movement toward eco-friendly landscaping practices. Drawing inspiration from World War II victory garden posters, the branding is designed to grab attention and motivate change.

The campaign also features a farmers market-style booth with an informational pamphlet, merchandise, and giveaways such as seed bombs, native plant starters, and care cards. The booth is designed to ignite conversation, raise awareness, and equip the community with the tools to adopt sustainable landscaping practices. This campaign hopes to catch attention and inspire positive change for the environment, believing that engaging design can drive lasting impact.
